ENAW youths and children’s programs under the office of ENAW Cultural Director provide Edo youths and children the opportunities to showcase and broaden their talents, potentials, achievements and Edo cultural awareness.

Edo Youth Movement.

The idea of Edo Youth Movement came about when a few Edo teens and young adults came together to find common unity and discuss ways to stay connected and share information about their personal, social, academic and cultural lives.  At ENAW annual convention, this group work with ENAW Cultural Director to organize and participate in pageant and fashion shows, cultural dances, business and social networking, writing competitions, etc. Those who compete in essay competitions get the opportunity to receive monetary awards from such competition like the Cynthia Idusuyi Essay Writing Contest. The hope of the group is to have all Edo youths in diaspora come together under one umbrella fighting for common goals. The group currently has facebook pages in some of the states in the United States of America.

Children’s Programs.

The children’s program is where Edo children and preteens are celebrated and get to participate in ENAW’s affairs. The Back to School program allows ENAW to recognize the academic and civic achievements of these children and preteens in their schools and community. The participating child or preteens also actively participate in ENAW’s programs through Edo language and cultural activities at the convention. At each convention, attending children are provided with back to school supplies. Those who compete in essay competitions get the opportunity to receive monetary awards from such competition like the Cynthia Idusuyi Essay Writing Contest.
